I touched the bottom and now I am emerging from the depths of my growing leaving the pain beneath the waters. Buried at sea the water cleansed, eroded the dead scales off of me that I didnβt want to be or believe, yet knew I would figure it out and learned to swim in my ocean of discovery.
Floundering in the undertow to find a love that is me. I now emerge to tread water and walk above sinking waves. Seasons of being off course, I can now swim, not be afraid of drowning and reach out my hand to be pulled ashore.

I am a Texas transplant from Virginia Beach and I love family, food, and entertaining with friends! On any given weekend you will find me out enjoying the city having dining & sipping moments with family and friends.
Besides being a foodie and an avid sports fan, l love writing as well!
I enjoy writing poetry, articles on my dining experiences and short stories. Look for my musings and written expression each day and let me know what is on your mind too. As my cousin, Kendra Edozie, quoted: It All Begins With Just A Thought.

This piece is beautiful, Pamelap. I’ve also been looking at some of your other posts, but this one really spoke to me. I think I’m currently beneath the waves and sea, but I will soon be able to surface and tread water. I see the hand that is grasping to reach mine (or vice versa) as that of my counsellor right now. It’s a tough road at the moment, but I do believe I will get there. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are a good writer and poet, and I’m glad I found you … Ellie π¦’
