Since we gave it our all but couldn’t make it last

No matter that we care and adore the making of love as we fell fast

Sleeping comes hard and difficult during the night and I can’t sleep

All ways wanting, welcoming each other in steaming heat
And not sure if we should let go but we weren’t enough of what we gave
Part my fault and half yours, our love was mature but our relationship goals juvenile and young
A love we couldn’t see it through; it is done
