I was looking for something in you.
You looked for nothing; seeing right through me looking at you.
I close my eyes, but try not my heart to the strain of what love is all about. Letting the tears stain my face trying to find the right spot and place, while my heart moves on to far and distant lands.
The sadness grapples with my pain, as hope leaves me confused and drained. The tracking of my tears as rain falls down in dark puddles beneath my eyes. The travel and tracing to other destinations is my final stop.
Leaving it be for tonight, the quest for questions I don’t have the answers to and the answers I don’t understand. I will look for a good night’s sleep in the dark. Searching for what I need from love in my nightmare’s dream.
