Day eight: write a what they never tell you poem. Here goes my attempt.
Staying within my realms of make believe, I wanted a love to call my own. One to slay dragons for me, and covet my slippered feet. Greet my morning with a kiss upon my cheek, protecting my sweet dreams at night while I sleep.
But, long gone are my childhood whims and what the mirror on the wall didn’t tell me, didn’t let me know. That the truth of fairy tales are far reaching and there’s no fairy godmother with wishes to bestow.

I am a Texas transplant from Virginia Beach and I love family, food, and entertaining with friends! On any given weekend you will find me out enjoying the city having dining & sipping moments with family and friends.
Besides being a foodie and an avid sports fan, l love writing as well!
I enjoy writing poetry, articles on my dining experiences and short stories. Look for my musings and written expression each day and let me know what is on your mind too. As my cousin, Kendra Edozie, quoted: It All Begins With Just A Thought.
